Overview
In the year 2036 B.S (1979 A.D), 16 people from Chhintang, a remote village in eastern Nepal were killed. At the time, Nepal was a monarch, and a party less Panchayat system of government prevailed. Any kind of resistance against the government was subject to harsh treatment - the Chhintang incident being an example. Today, almost 40 years later, the story needs to be retold - we no longer live under the Panchayat System and Aawaaj believes the state should recognize the resistance of these 16.
